Sam Sloane is the President of BOCA Group and has performed vertical transportation consulting and project management for the company since 1998. Mr. Sloane’s responsibilities include executive oversight of all operations worldwide. He has brought extensive experience as a project manager to the firm, and has helped build the company around these principles. One of his many major accomplishments with the firm, Mr. Sloane was BOCA Group’s manager for the recently completed and award winning modernization of the elevators and escalators at the Empire State Building, including the incorporation of the ceiling-mounted video experience in the Observatory elevators. Before joining BOCA Group, he gained extensive experience as a general construction project manager for ground-up projects as well as interior build-out and renovation projects. Mr. Sloane holds a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ and a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Mr. Sloane is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), International Association of Elevator Consultants (IAEC) and an Allied Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). In his spare time, he coaches youth athletics and enjoys doing “weekend warrior” projects.
