Prior to BOCA Group’s involvement, the escalators at the site underwent numerous repairs as a result of heavy foot traffic and constant exposure to the outdoor elements, however no repairs were long term solutions. One of the starting items that BOCA Group focused on was determining a permanent solution to the problems that the repairs failed to address. As part of our overall assessment of the project, our engineers visited the stadium during a home game and performed a comprehensive traffic analysis, observing the traffic patterns and usage of the escalators during a highly populated time. After further review of this data with the project team, BOCA Group it was determined that a full replacement of the escalators was needed to accomplish the project goals. BOCA Group created specifications for replacement of the escalators and assisted the project team in selecting the proper elevator contractor (?) for the completion of the work. With BOCA Group’s project management expertise, and persistence to remain in the non-negotiable time constraint, the escalator replacement was completed on time.
