PCT, California

42 Elevators

20 Floors

BOCA Group was retained to oversee the modernization of 42 elevators across three buildings in the PCT office community. Boasting several high-profile and high tech tenants, it was paramount to the client to have their buildings and vertical transportation technology reflect that. In addition to improving user experience, it was imperative that the new system also be energy efficient to comply with California’s rigorous energy laws. As it is currently the largest elevator modernization in Southern California, BOCA Group is focused on completing this high-profile job in a timely manner.

CHALLENGE

BOCA Group performed the initial maintenance evaluation and project survey, completed the RFP process, and awarded the contract for work to be completed. Our Project Management Team iscurrently overseeing the project to completion. As the existing vertical transportation system was struggling to keep up with the growing demand and tenant base, each elevator is undergoing a full modernization. In addition to brand new equipment, BOCA Group specified the implementation of Destination Dispatch, the latest in dispatch technology, thus increasing traffic flow and boosting user experience amongst a savvy tenant base. Destination Dispatch was also a viable solution to tie together the community’s variety of security card systems. In order to complete the modernization on schedule, there are as many as seven crews working at one time in various banks and cars.
